Thank you all for your patience with me during this very busy holiday
season. I fear that the bi-monthly Shutterbug Newsletter also suffers
as a result of work and family obligations. December is traditionally
very busy time not just for me, but for all of us.
Click above to find the final installment of Volume 2 of Hampton
Roads Digital Shutterbug Newsletter in PDF format. This issue
recognizes our November f-64 Challenge winners.
The December f-64 Topic Challenge “Holiday Lights” will remain open
until Tuesday, midnight December 31st for image submissions. They may
be sent directly to me at firstname.lastname@example.org (Please don’t forget to
identify yourself in your emails to me….I can look them up but it
usually slows me down.)
January’s f-64 Challenge will be an Exposure Challenge: “White-on-White
OR Black-on-Black”. Have fun with this one. There are no image
editing restrictions with this challenge.
To date over 2,000 points have been distributed to the participants in
this yearlong Challenge. The December f-64 Challenge will mark the
halfway point and we are on track to award close to 5,000 points this
year. There is still plenty of time to participate and everyone is
invited to join at any time during the year either as a participant or
as a voter. See the posted Challenges for the remainder of the year on
the final page of our newsletter.
January’s Guest Speaker will be Don Mercer and his topic will be “A
Camera Safari”. I hope your schedule will permit you to attend our next
meeting on Wednesday, January 15th in the Administration Building at the
Norfolk Botanical Garden. Please feel free to invite a friend.
I hope that everyone has had a joyful holiday and of course I wish each
and every one of you a safe and Happy New Year. 2014….can you believe
that it is almost here?
