Two Shutterbug Members had their pictures recently selected by a panel of judges as top 10 finalist in the current City of Norfolk Photo Contest. They were Linda McCane and myself.
Unfortunately a late notification was received by Linda this morning that her picture had been withdrawn because it did not meet the criteria. Technically the Jordan Bridge (her subject) is not considered a Norfolk image according to the officials running the contest. To the best of my knowledge there were no other pictures from the Shutterbug Club that made it into the top 10 finalist. Voting is currently underway online and is open to the public at the following web site:
I think that congratulations are in order for Linda. Obviously her picture warranted merit based on the quality of the image since she had been informed earlier that she was a finalist.
Congratulations to Linda from the Hampton Roads Digital Shutterbug Board of Directors.
Addition on 6/5:
I just found out that Flo Womacks also had a picture that made it to the Top 10 in the City of Norfolk Photo Contest. Congratulations to Flo for her picture of the solo fireworks going off against the night sky and the city skyline. It is a great shot. Congratulations are in order for her.
