Florence ('Flo') Womacks, a Virginia Beach resident and native, has been interested in photography for a number of years. Over the years, she learned photography through self-assignments, and by reading many of the books and magazines available on the subject.  Flo finds nature and abstract imaging to be among her favorite subjects, as well as spending time performing digital manipulations in Adobe Photoshop to create new images. She is a volunteer for the American Heart Association, capturing images from many of their events including the Heart Walks and Galas. Her images have been published in the Hampton Roads Magazine and the Virginian-Pilot, GROW Norfolk Botanical Gardens publication as well as The Cable Release.  Also a few of her pieces are in a silent auction to help raise money for a local Alzheimer Foundation. Flo is a member of the Norfolk Shutterbug Club and currrently is the President of the Chesapeake Cosmopolitan Photography Club.
