Jerry started taking up photography as a serious hobby in 1998, after retiring from the United States Army, as a Command Sergeant Major, with 40 years of active and reserve service. His interests began through his travels. He's been a member of the Hampton Roads Digital Shutterbug Club since 2004 and served as President from 2008 to 2011.  He is also a member of the Cosmopolitan Camera Club. When he is not taking photographs he likes to cook, his culinary skills have caused the kitchen at home to become his, and he so enjoys cooking for his family and friends. He and his wife reside in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
