Pam Jenkins
“Photography is about sharing, a means to share the wonders of the world that I love so much.
I am in awe of what nature provides to us. Just stop and take the time to look closely and the wonders abound from the smallest insect to the landscape as far as you can see.
Nothing is more relaxing than disappearing into the wilderness, spending a few hours with a group of butterflies, watching a spider spin his web or anticipating the roar of a waterfall as your hike brings you closer to your destination.
All this I want to share with family and friends when I return from my trek. As much as I enjoy the solitude offered by nature photography, I enjoy the return and the opportunity to share my experiences with others through my photography.”
Pamela is past Treasurer of the Virginia Beach Photography Club, past Vice President and Competition Coordinator. She is also a member of the Hampton Roads Digital Shutterbug Club.
Continuing education in photography includes classes with the Hermitage Foundation Museum and The Contemporary Center for the Arts in black and white photography and darkroom printing. She has also attended numerous workshops with Bill and Linda Lane with Nature’s Image Photography.
She is the proud mother of two and grandmother of five. Originally from Michigan, she graduated from Norview High School, attended Old Dominion University and graduated from St. Leo College with a BA in Business Administration. She is currently employed, for 20 years, by Issues & Answers Network Inc., an international market research firm.
Cameras used to create her images include the Nikon N80, D70 and D200.
