Established by an Act of Assembly at Jamestown in 1680, Urbanna, Virginia is
one of the nation ’ s oldest towns. And, with a land mass of less than half a
square mile, it ’ s also one of its smallest. Located on a sheltered, deep-water
creek on a tributary of the Chesapeake Bay, Urbanna ’ s history, economy,
ecology and culture ebb and flow with the waters that surround her.
Plan to meet Flo Womacks at 45 Cross St (State Route 1005) , Urbanna, VA 23175 around 9am. If you would like to come ahead and try for sunrise that's perfectly fine too.
Explore Urbanna for a few hours and then plan to meet for lunch around noon at the Virginia Street Cafe (201 Virginia Street) Lunch will be from noon-1:30 p.m. I will be able to provide a copy of the menu prior to the day of the trip.
For those who wish to stay in Urbanna, again perfectly fine.
For those who wish to venture off somewhere else; some of us are planning to go to the Rosewell Plantation. It's about a 40 minute drive from Urbanna.
